In order to understand why IWC designed the 2 To 1 Point Triglide, it’s important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the various types of slings on the market.
A One Point Sling is so called because it only attaches to the rifle at a single point, at the rear of the lower receiver using an end plate. The One Point Sling has the advantage of allowing the rifle to transition quickly and easily to either the strong or weak side shoulder with no adjustments. They also tend to allow the operator to move to any shooting position without adjustment (like standing to prone). The main weakness of the One Point Sling is that it allows the muzzle to swing like a pendulum if the user has to take their hands off of it.
Two Point Slings attach to the rifle at 2 points; one at the front of the rifle and one at the rear. As dynamic as a properly configured Two Point Sling can be, it still can’t match a One Point Sling for maneuverability.
The 2 To 1 Point Tri-Glide allows you to reconfigure your sling as a One Point or Two Point on the fly to deal with the specific situation you’re facing, using the sling that you already own.

This took a $20 STI sling (has the rapid slide sizing thumb loop)and made it into a 2 to 1 point convertible!
So for $36 I have a sling that would otherwise be $75-100.
My modification of the sling was to make paracord sections for the ends with side release buckles and QD swivels. That saved me from buying short sewn webbing converters. This triglide goes right inside the paracord section, so it’s incredibly strong.
I cannot say too much about customer service. I had two short questions after I received my order, so I filled out the online form. It wasn’t 20 minutes later I got a phone call from Colorado. I almost didn’t answer because I expected email. But, you can’t ask for more than that.

This is a great and a simple product. It lets me use my QD swivel. It makes a great setup with my vtac sling and Noveske QD end plate. It gives you the ability to change a 2 point sling to a single point.

I use the 2 to 1 Point Triglide on my Two Point Gear Sector sling. I love the way this ingenious product allows me the ability to turn my 2 point sling to a single point sling on the fly. It is very well made and will probably out last most slings it is attached too. If you are looking for a solution to for having more capability from your two point slings, then I would highly recommend giving this product a try.
